My name is Julie Panthin and I run Slim Fitness. I would like to help you lose weight, improve your health, increase your confidence, feel happier about yourself and get fitter.
I hold an Honours Degree in Catering and Nutrition and have a keen interest in nutrition and weight management. I have 9 years' experience in the diet and fitness industry and as a qualified fitness instructor have helped hundreds of people lose their excess weight, get fitter and healthier.
I struggled with my own weight for years and through sensible eating and exercise I am now at my ideal weight. As a mother of three children in my 40's I can honestly say that I am healthier, fitter and slimmer than I was 10 years ago. I feel also happier and more confident about myself.
I am married to Hari and we have three children. I recently had a baby and know that being fit and healthy really helped me with the pregnancy and labour. ABOUT SLIM FITNESS
The club started as a Rosemary Conley Franchise in 2008 in London. When Rosemary Conley Fitness and Foods went into liquidation in 2014, we carried on running the classes using the same format of diet and exercise in one class, which is a winning combination for weight loss and fitness.
In 2015 we started Slim Fitness in Gloucestershire where I run classes in Cheltenham, Gloucester and Stroud. Ann and Sue run the classes in London.
Ann is originally from Zimbabwe and is a school teacher. She joined Slim Fitness classes herself as a member in 2008 when they first launched. In 2012 she trained as a fitness instructor and now runs her own Slim Fitness classes.
Sue also joined Slim Fitness herself as a class member. She is a qualified and experienced dance teacher and fitness instructor. Sue trained originally at The Arts education School and has a background in ballet, tap and jazz. She now runs her own Slim Fitness classes.
Some people attend ‘diet’ clubs but fail to keep their weight off or make any significant changes to improve their fitness. Other people attend sessions at the gym but as they fail to make notable changes to their diet, they don’t lose much weight despite all their efforts.
In our classes we combine both the diet and the exercise. We find that people do need to make changes to their diet in order to lose weight and that when they combine this with exercise, they not only find that it helps with the weight loss but they also have more energy, feel more motivated and keep up with the classes even if they had a ‘bad’ week.
Ann, Sue and I all know what it is like to struggle with our own weight and have found that the combination of sensible eating and exercise has been key to losing weight. Also attending classes with like-minded people offers the support and motivation one needs to keep going long-term.
